Origin: Zhejiang Province China Date: 1900 Material: CHINESE FIR Chinese fir has straight and even grains and is typically light brown in color. Not all varieties of fir are suitable for furniture making but those coming from Fujian province and other high altitude regions tend to have excellent densities and textures so are commonly used. Condition Condition: RESTORED Chinese homes were open to the elements to a much greater degree than homes in the Western world and often did not have wooden floors.
