Ruby-throated Hummingbird in Flight 18" Wide x 8" High Hand Painted Cathedral Hammered Art Glass Panel

A beautiful ruby-throated hummingbird in flight. This 18" wide x 8" high panel is painted on cathedral hammered art glass. This exquisite double-strength art glass has a surface texture similar to hammered brass or copper. Its sparkling dimensional richness lends an authentic stained glass look to this panel. It is wood-framed in high quality Wisconsin hardwood with a medium oak finish. Comes with two frame-top hooks (not shown) and an included chain kit for hanging. Chain kit consists of approx. 2' of silver chain and 2 spring clips. Please note that this is an art glass panel rather than a stained glass panel. Art glass and stained glass do differ. Art glass panels are lighter and the glass is thinner than in stained glass panels. Stained glass panels consist of individual pieces of stained glass soldered together to form a pattern. Art glass panels are created by placing thin lead strands on a sheet of solid glass to define the pattern and then hand-painting. Heat is then applied to bond the lead and paint to the glass.
