The fireback has been an indispensable part of the fireplace tradition in Europe since the 15th Century. The colonists carried this tradition to America. The strong graphic quality of this flag design fireback fits well with an early American decor, while its clean design also makes it suitable for a more contemporary space as well. Firebacks are designed to rest on the floor of the hearth, but Fireback Supports or Feet may also be used to hold this fireback upright and raise it off the hearth if extra height is desired.
